3 Ways to Style Trench Coats
From an overcoat worn by the British and French soldiers to a high fashion statement, trench coats have come a long way. They’re a wardrobe staple that never goes out of style. Don’t own a trench coat? May be I can convince you to buy one!
THE COOL
For those of you in places where summer hardly takes a break, and winter is but for a few days, a sleeveless trench coat is a great start . Trench coats made from chiffon or georgette (like this) are also fantastic options to try the trend, without sweating it out. This trench coat is under $20. My skirt is a mix of suede and leather which I paired with a crisp white shirt. The bow makes the outfit more girly and cute. I love these buttoned leather boots from Nine West because of their interesting style.
THE COOLER
Colored trench coats are more suitable for spring especially this bright yellow one. Here I am transitioning it to fall, by mixing it with this mustard lace dress. Matching the fall colors is my burgundy boots. This coat has a cotton and synthetic shell and is not only suitable for mild temperatures but also those rainy days.
THE COOLEST
This coat holds a special place in my heart, because it was the first birthday gift from my husband (then boyfriend). After wandering through almost every store in the mall, we came upon this in Nordstrom. This coat has a leather shell, a thick lining and a zip opening. I fell in love with it as soon as I laid my eyes on it. If you have the moolah to spare, I suggest you go with the classic Burberry trench. Other great options are also available from stores like ASOS, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor etc. You can basically pair this coat with anything due to its neutral color. I went with this floral dress as the weather is still warm here.

I love all three of these trench coats. I wish I lived somewhere warm so all I would need is the first one. I love how you took the yellow spring trench and turned it into a fall trench. That was such a great idea. You look great in all three of these looks.
